DIMINUTION OF VALUE
When a vehicle has been repaired after a fire, flood, accident, or recovered theft, it may as a direct consequence be worth less—in many cases, substantially less—on the resell or trade-in market than it was before it was damaged and repaired. How much less it is worth is its Diminution of Value. Put simply, retail consumers and vehicle dealers will not pay as much for a repaired vehicle, regardless how good the repair, as they will for the same vehicle which has not undergone repair. This is especially true when there has been a significant amount of repair. Over the years we've heard it from our clients many times that despite their efforts they have been unable to get a fair payment—or any payment whatsoever—for their loss. You deserve fair compensation for your Diminution of Value. Please call us at (800) 540-AUTO to discuss. We'll make it simple and we'll do all the work.
